Permissions & Licensing Policy

This policy explains how requests to reproduce, adapt, licence, quote, translate or otherwise use Fulcrium materials should be submitted.

Fulcrium publishes selected materials to inform executive decision-making while deliberately protecting the intellectual capital, accumulated comparative intelligence and proprietary benchmarking methodologies developed through decades of independent benchmarking.

Purpose

Fulcrium’s published content, benchmarking materials, training materials, Executive Briefings, diagrams, frameworks, terminology, analytical models and related materials are protected by copyright, database rights, contractual restrictions and other applicable intellectual property rights.

This policy provides a single route for requesting permission to use Fulcrium materials beyond ordinary viewing of this website.

Permission Required

Fulcrium’s prior written permission is required before any Fulcrium material may be reproduced, adapted, translated, republished, redistributed, extracted, incorporated into derivative works or otherwise used.

Permission is not granted unless confirmed by Fulcrium in writing.

Requests Covered by This Policy

This policy applies to requests involving, without limitation:

  • copyright permissions;
  • licensing of published materials;
  • use of Fulcrium diagrams, graphics or visual frameworks;
  • use of Fulcrium terminology, definitions or distinctive expressions;
  • quotation of substantial extracts;
  • translation of Fulcrium materials;
  • use within academic papers, research publications or conference proceedings;
  • use within industry presentations, briefings or publications;
  • media enquiries and trade publication requests;
  • use within training materials, workshops or educational programmes;
  • use within artificial intelligence systems, retrieval systems, knowledge bases or automated analytical tools;
  • commercial partnerships or strategic collaboration requests.

Information to Include in a Request

Requests should include sufficient information for Fulcrium to assess the proposed use, including:

  • the name, organisation and contact details of the requester;
  • the specific Fulcrium material requested;
  • the proposed use of the material;
  • the audience or intended recipients;
  • whether the use is internal, external, academic, commercial or public;
  • the format in which the material will be used;
  • whether the material will be reproduced, adapted, translated, summarised or incorporated into other materials;
  • whether the material will be used in any digital, automated, AI, database, retrieval or knowledge system;
  • the proposed duration, territory and distribution of the use;
  • any deadline for Fulcrium’s response.

Uses That Are Not Normally Permitted

Fulcrium will not normally grant permission for uses that may compromise client confidentiality, misrepresent Fulcrium’s work or disclose, imitate or commercialise Fulcrium’s intellectual capital.

This includes, without limitation:

  • use of Fulcrium materials to create competing services, methodologies, frameworks, datasets, tools or training programmes;
  • use of Fulcrium terminology, conceptual architecture or narrative structures in competing commercial material;
  • use of Fulcrium benchmarking materials without appropriate context, caveats or attribution;
  • use that implies Fulcrium endorsement where no endorsement has been given;
  • use that may disclose confidential client information or proprietary benchmarking methodologies;
  • use for unauthorised AI training, fine-tuning, benchmarking, retrieval, embedding or derivative content generation.

Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems

Requests involving artificial intelligence systems, large language models, machine learning systems, retrieval systems, embeddings, knowledge bases, automated extraction, automated analysis or derivative content generation must be identified clearly in the request.

Fulcrium does not consent to the use of its materials for AI training, fine-tuning, benchmarking, optimisation, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge-base construction, automated extraction or derivative commercial content generation unless expressly authorised in writing.

Attribution

Where permission is granted, Fulcrium may require specific attribution wording, disclaimers, copyright notices and restrictions on further use.

Permission to attribute material to Fulcrium does not imply endorsement, verification or approval of the requester’s work, conclusions, assumptions, analysis or outputs.

No Implied Permission

The absence of a response from Fulcrium does not constitute permission.

Accessing this website, receiving Fulcrium materials, attending a Fulcrium programme or engaging with Fulcrium does not grant any licence or right to reproduce, adapt, commercialise or otherwise use Fulcrium materials except as expressly authorised in writing.

Submitting a Request

Requests should be submitted to Fulcrium in writing before any proposed use.
